Recently I've been finding myself alt-tabbing a lot when using my computer for coding, modelling, etc so I figured to grab a second monitor. I decided that I'd want to get a 1440p 144hz monitor.

I currently have a ASUS VP247 (1080p 60hz 24") connected to my pc. I'm deciding between getting a second 24" 1440p 144hz monitor or a 27" one instead. I do also want my setup to still look clean as before, so I'm not really sure how a 27" would look next to a 24" monitor.

I also read online that 27" is the standard for 1440p monitors. I'm not sure how a 27" would look next to a 24" aswell as if a 27" is a necessity, what would you guys suggest?

Also, I'm having some trouble finding a 1440p 144hz 24" online (in Canada), maybe could somebody list a few recommended options for both 24" and 27"? I use my pc for both gaming and 3d rendering/modeling and coding. My pc should be capable of running both monitors at once, I listed some of the specs below just in case. Thanks in advance.

PC specs:
GTX 1080 G1 GAMING
Ryzen 5 1600x
Trident z rgb 16gb (2×8gb) 3000mhz

If you buy a second 24" monitor, the physical size will match.
But, because of the higher density of the 1440P monitor, the text will look small by comparison.
When you drag a page from one to the other, this will be very apparent.

I like the 27" 1440p approach better.
It will give you more immersion in gaming and the text sizes will be more similar.

I have a 40" 4k monitor along side a 30" 2560 x 1600 monitor and it works very well.
You get used to it.
