Debating between two monitors

I want to go 2k ultrawide. Primarily for destiny 2. I have a bonus coming up in a month. My debate is between the AOC agon AG352UCG and the pixio px347c.

Near as I can tell the main difference between the two is g sync. I currently have a crappy 4k monitor and notice zero screen tearing with vsync off. It either doesn't happen or I don't see it.

I have a ln i5 6500 and a 1080ti FTW3. Do I get the aoc and gsync. Or get the pixio and upgrade to a 7700k for the same price.

For my money, I'd get the AOC. There is more to a monitor than screen tearing. The AOC reviews well. I trust it. I don't trust the generics to be as consistent in their QA.
