Green/Purple vertical line across monitor

Looking at other threads and articles, I'm guessing that there's not much I can do, but here I go anyways.

So, today, after I hooked up my laptop to my LG 24MP58-P that was sitting in the dust, there was a green line across it, and sometimes it turns purple. I know it's the monitor because after I disconnected the cord it still appeared when it displayed no signal.

The monitor is broken, this happen when the monitor is damaged by water or shock. There is not way to fix it.
