can't use windows search bar annymore

so this problem started this week (going on for 3 days now), whenever i press the search icon bottom left in windoes 10 and i type for example "task manager" nothing shows... even if i only type in 1 letter.. its just an endless search icon that im seeing. its not posting there are no results or annything its just blank
even wierder is if i type "task manager" and press enter.. task manager DOES open but there was no indicator it was a search result .. https://imgur.com/a/oWSZO thats what im seeing no matter how long i wait.

ive already tried deleting the taskbar and reopening it, restarting windows explorer, i also did the whole indexing stuff several times.. yes ive tried restating windows.
i also tried setting the search to Automatic in services.msc but nothing worked
and please dont say "restart cortana" i live in the Netherlands.. we DON'T have cortana here so thats no option....
i even tried running an entire windows scan but all files were located.

i hope someone can shed some light on this problem.. thanks!

The only thing I can think of is to do an In-Place Upgrade.

1) Go here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software-download/windows10

2) Insert an 8GB+ USB stick

3) Download the Media Creation Tool, then RUN it

4) WAIT for download and creation of the tool

5) when that's done, run "setup.exe" from the USB stick

6) should have "keep data and applications" by default, but just in case it doesn't select that, and follow instructions


*That should replace a lot of key files. It's quite safe to do.

I'd also run MEMTEST86 first if you've not done so to ensure your system memory is working (it can corrupt data if not). Run a full pass.

My USB sticks often have problems being formatted again. I do a full Low Level Format using the FREE part of this tool: http://hddguru.com/software/HDD-LLF-Low-Level-Format-Tool/

(i.e. may use for MEMTEST86 then can't use stick for MS Media Creation Tool... if you get that issue do the LLF and it should work)

ive tried everything you suggested but no luck.. i rly dont know whats happening.. ive enev tried updating all drivers etc for mobo and every aplication i have... nothjing seems to work.. ive tried to put it back to a earlier state when it did work (before i did teh creators update which didnt work either) but it just didnt work... it wasnt displaying results at all...

also did the ramtest and had no issues what so ever.. (this pc is just over 1 month old now)

i really dont want to do a system restore because i dont wanna back up 3TB of data to be honest.
ive tried to contact windows itself but apperantlu theres no way of contacting them with mail at all so cant do annything there either...

so im stuck now.. i dont knwo what to do. i ve tried every solution that i could find in the last day but nothing works ..
