$2500-$2800 Gaming PC Build Help

Hello Everyone!

Looking to help a friend build a higher-end gaming rig (he'll be buying parts around black Friday/cyber Monday). Their budget is up to $2800 and was wondering what builds you would suggest since I'm not really familiar with the newer Intel chipsets/what's compatible.

He already has Logitech peripherals (keyboard, mouse, and Headset), but he's looking for everything else (also needs speakers and a monitor).

He wants a system that can run 1440p max settings consistently at around 100fps (mostly plays competitive style fps games, so he'd like to use a 144hz monitor, avoid screen tearing, etc.).

Major bonus points if it Blue/Black/White color themed.

Sure without the keyboard, mouse, and headset you could get a 1080ti. A Gsync monitor is a bit higher as well but worth the cost. You could also get the best air cooling CPU heat sink. With the 1080ti the 850w can handle 2 in SLI if you ever want to upgrade.
