Hi

I am trying to lower my voltage on my CPU but when i change the settings in my bios and open up CPUZ the settings have not been applied, i have made sure that i save the changes in the bios aferwards. The voltage is constantly at 1.256V and does not change

I have a 6700k CPU paired with a MSI Gaming Krait 3X z170 motherboard.

Can someone please tell me what im doing wrong and why i cant change my voltage.

Thanks for the help!!!

Solution
on my 3570k, i've set it as an offset, like -0.005V then it'll still vary the voltage according to speed step, so that might be where to look.

However I'd expect that 4.2 and 4.3 would use a very similar voltage.

i went into the bios and change the multiplier to 42. I have read a few posts where people have used my voltage for 4.3ghz. Which probably means that i have too much voltage for 4.2ghz. I know every CPU is different but i want to play around and see whats the best for mine.
