looking to upgrade need advice.

Hello.
I am looking to upgrade my 6year old PC.
currently running these specs

i5 3570k (overclocked to 4.4)
gtx 670
8GB G.Skill DDR3 PC3-12800 RipjawsX 1600 (2 4gb sticks)
Asrock extreme 4 z77
Corsair GS600 PSU

I am considering getting a GTX 1060 6gb or 1070 (if i can budget enough by the end of month)
Does anyone think that I need to consider upgrading anything else.
Currently playing PUBG, overwatch, xcom 2.
Looking at getting Shadows of war soon.

i5 3570k is still ok for now but some heavy AAA games are already bottlenecked by it, if you are trying to push far beyond 60fps e.g. if you have 144hz monitor and plan to have 144fps.
i5 3570k is however not yet that bad to be replaced yet, in my opinion.
Small upgrades can still be taken to improve your PC.

Here are a things you can do to improve your PC without a big overhaul:
1. Get a stronger GPU, GTX1060 6gb or GTX1070 as in your plan would be nice
2. Get an SSD, if you have got one.
3. add another 8GB RAM

Now, between GTX1060 and GTX1070,
GTX1060 is already a big jump from your GTX670.
If you plan to stick with 1080p 60hz gaming. You do not need GTX1070.

What resolution and refresh rate is your monitor? 1070 would be overkill if you're running 1080p @ 60Hz, for example, so in that case, 1060 6GB would do nicely.

monitor is only 1080p 60hz, but I was going to see what black Friday/cyber Monday bring.
already have an SSD.

Well, if you're planning on updating to a higher-resolution monitor, then your GPU needs will change. If you stick with 1080p@60Hz, then the GTX 1060 6GB is the way to go
