And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I've always been a console gamer and have had almost all consoles but most of the youtube bloggers i follow have PC and it just looks so fun :p so i thought i'd join the PC master Race plus most of the time im on the old laptop i have surfing the web. I would like to consider both actually that way I know if I should save up a little more or start playing with something for less.
And for refurbished what do you recommend?

If you need a monitor and an OS included in a 500usd budget my advice would be to stick with a console with a good value bundle - $300 just isn't going to cut it for a gaming system IMO. I don't know about the US but here in the UK there have been ps4 pro bundles with fallout 4, doom, destiny 2 and dishonoured 2. An xbox one x might be more useful if Fallout 4 is a big prioity due to its better modding support.

For a new rig, this is about as good as you'll get, add another $50 for a basic m+k and headset if you need.
It won't be a great experience in Fallout 4, but definitely very playable with a mix of medium and low settings.

Yeah you're probably right, but since I've usually been with console I just don't feel like going back to one. I can actually get a cheap/free monitor so that might not be a problem for now.
Do you think the extra 100 can go back on the PC?

Jajaja that is so smart. It looks legit, but I'm actually thinking of just clenching my stomach for the rest of month so my budget can be almost up to 800
