My mouse works but the buttons dont

I was playing as usual and then I see that I can't select anything in Chrome or desktop I tried diferent methods
-diferent mice
-uninstalling drivers and updating them

And before safe mode the mouse works correctly but when I enter the safe mode or else it doesn't work again

Have you tried different USB slots?

I found a fix that might work but navigating to it without a mouse is going to be a nuisance. Have to use keyboard shortcuts and the tab key to move between choices.

go to desktop
press win key + q
search cortana for power options and press enter to select it
Use the tab key to move the selector down to Additional power settings
using tab on next page, select Choose what the power button does
hit enter on Change settings that are currently unavailable
tab down to Turn on fast startup (recommended) and turn it off
tab down to save changes and restart PC and see if it makes any difference


Are there any warnings in Device manager?
press win + r
Type devmgmt.msc and press enter

how did you uninstall drivers without a mouse?
