New monitor keeps minimizing windows when using 2nd monitor

My set up had been a 24 inch 1080p HP 60Hz monitor as my main with a 22 inch 1080p asus 75Hz as my second monitor. I had used that set up ofr over 5 years with no problems being able to mouse over from one to the other. I now have a 24 inch 1440p 144Hz Dell s2416dg monitor as my main and kept the 22 inch asus as the second. What now happens with when I am watching a youtube video or just have a window open on my main monitor if I click on a window on the second monitor the window on the main 24 inch minimizes. It does not crash, if a video is playing it will continue to play but its just minimized. I have looked at all the settings I could think of but have no idea why this is happening. Anyone able to give me some advice on what to try?

My pc is a
Ryzen 7 1700x
16gb ddr4 2400
x370 mb
gtx 1060 6gb

if you click on browser for full screen did it still minimizes

have use used the same connection on your new monitor that you used on your old one? Same ports on the same graphics card?
Not sure if there even CAN be an issue, but better safe then sorry.

Same connection, same ports , same graphics card. Everything is the same but it just minimizes when I mouse over and click on the window of the second monitor.
