Moving Windows10 (retail license) system image to another machine

What is the current approach in Windows 10 Pro x64 (retail license) when moving the system image to another machine? Has that process become any easier or more difficult versus earlier Windows versions?

Just to be clear, I'm talking about moving everything over, without having to do a backup and restore of the files. Are there any utilities that would allow the system drive image (everthing) to be ported to a different machine, which would do the required low-level hardware-abstraction-layer adjusments?

The license (Retail) is no problem.

Clean install and apply that license to the new system.

Or, link it to your MS account and do it that way:

The ease of license transferal does not have anything to do with the possibility/probability of having to do a clean install on the new hardware.
