Hi,
I am trying to get a 24 inch monitor that I am trying to buy so I picked two from the craigslist.

My two choices are:
Asus VG248QE for $65
Dell U2410 for $80

I am really not sure which one to get. I will be just using my VGA or DVI to output to the monitor so I am not really sure how 144Hz is going to affect me. I am not a huge gamer but I do play games such as Overwatch, Ark, Arma or Starcraft every now and then. I do more of programming, photo editing, video editng. I am also a bit concerned how much more power U2410 will use compared to Asus as it uses LEDs. So this is a hard choice for me to make so I would love to hear your answers. Thank you! :D

Solution
ASUS VG24QE: a pure gaming monitor (TN, 144Hz)
Dell U2410: an all rounder monitor (IPS, 60Hz)

If you only do casual gaming, U2410 is the better pick but if you do more gaming VG248QE is the better pick.
If you do a lot photo/video editing, I would definitely get the U2410.
Why not both? side by side? I use XB270HU (144Hz IPS) and PB278QR (60Hz IPS).

I think the U2410 would be a better choice for your usage.

I do currently have Dell P2210 and that is what's making me hard to decide on either one of these. Since I already have a TN panel, I am not sure if I want to buy another TN panel display that is newer and has faster response time and higher refresh rate or IPS display that is a bit older and has good color but uses more power.
