Hello, I have a ASUS Turbo GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card and i am just buying a monitor, the LG 31MU97Z-B. The monitor can take hdmi 1.4 and display port 1.2. Can anyone please explain wich one is better for photo editing. I have been reading a lot of stuff online and i see one has better colour gamut but the other is faster or something. And I was wondering if anyone can explain wich cable will give me the better resolution and hz. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

DisplayPort is required to run the monitor at full resolution, it only has HDMI 1.4 which will not run 4K 60 Hz.

There is no difference in image quality, they will be identical (see here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-3556143/displayport-hdmi.html) except that HDMI cannot be used beyond 30 Hz and DisplayPort can.
