Okay so I'm coming close to my final build. Let me know what you guys think. It might be overkill i'm not too entirely sure. Still needs a few tweaks. I'll lay out the build first and then ask a few questions.

Case - CORSAIR Crystal 570X RGB Tempered Glass - https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139092&ignorebbr=1

Processor - Intel Core i7-8700K Coffee Lake 6-Core 3.7 GHz (4.7 GHz Turbo)
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117827&ignorebbr=1

Motherboard MSI Z370 GAMING PRO CARBON LGA 1151 (300 Series) Intel Z370 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813144107&ignorebbr=1

M.2 SSD - Samsung 960 Evo 500gb
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147594&cm_re=500_gb_ssd_internal-_-20-147-594-_-Product

Ram - 16gb 8x2 G.SKIll Tridentz RGB
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232475&ignorebbr=1

Graphics - EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW2 GAMING iCX (thinking of maybe a 1080ti? for only a couple hundred more why not? thoughts?)
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487319&ignorebbr=1

Power Supply - CORSAIR RMx Series RM850X 850W 80 PLUS GOLD Haswell Ready Full Modular
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139141&ignorebbr=1

Lighting (here's where the questions come in) So I want to go with this since the case already comes with corsair fans. CORSAIR Lighting Node PRO CL-9011109-WW.
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811978003&ignorebbr=1
4 Individual strips I can also plug my 3 fans that come with the case in to control as well.

So my question is with my CPU cooling I was wondering If I could go with Corsair Hydro Series H100i V2 Extreme Performance Water / Liquid CPU Cooler
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181103
and then replace the stock fans with Corsair HD Series, HD120 RGB LED, 120mm High Performance
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181120&ignorebbr=1
to have 6 adjustable RGB fans?

I know the Lighting Node doesn't allow for fan control. I will be adding in the Commander Pro eventually - https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811978004&cm_re=commander_pro-_-11-978-004-_-Product
That is if I can replace the stock fans with these so I can have 6 of the same fans.

So feel free to pick apart and throw out any suggestions. My main concern was with the CPU cooling and maybe changing the stock fans if they would be able to plug into my Lighting Node as well.

Thanks guys! I appreciate it more than you know.

1 x 4-pin CPU fan connector
1 x 4-pin water pump fan connector
4 x 4-pin system fan connectors
1 x Front panel audio connector
2 x Front panel connectors
2 x 5050 RGB LED strip 12V connectors
1 x WS2812B Individually Addressable RGB LED strip 5V connector
1 x CORSAIR Individually Addressable RGB LED strip 5V connector

strips seem fine, 4 fans are covered. But your case may already wrap up built-in case fans with some cables.

One useful comment:

Question: Does it come with led controllers for the HD 120 fans?
Answer: If you do decide to go with the HD RGB fans I also recommend using them through the Corsair Link program and not using the buttons on the case to control them. There are many more options available in the program that did not show up cycling through the buttons on the case so I wound up getting the commander pro and running everything through the link program for more customizability. see less

Yes and you can add more the controller has open slots

It does not come with a controller for the HD 120 fans. The controller in it only works with the SP LED fans which are not the same as the HD LED fans. So when you buy the HD RGB fans make sure to get them with the controller. I made the same assumption and had to reorder them all because the SP controller will not work with the HD fans. And the 3 fans that come with the case are SP RGB fans not HD fans. You have to purchase the HD RGB fans separately.

Awesome thanks! I edited my post a little bit must have been when you were replying that I knew the Commander pro controlled fans also. Which I plan on eventually buying. after the next paycheck :). I could downgrade the PSU maybe. 750 would probably be fine! I think I will go with the 1080ti I have it in the budget! on the monitor side I had already budgeted about $500 for the g sync and 1440p 144hz! Thanks for your help my friend!

So it would be okay to replace the stock fans on the CPU liquid cooler with the HDR fans? I wasn't sure if they were still just regular fans or special fans since they're placed on a rad. I know i have to buy them individually but that's okay lol. got a christmas bonus coming up soon + i've been saving all year. :)
