Hey, so with the holidays just around the corner I'm planning on investing in two monitors to replace my nice 32' inch T.V. I've been using. So, I'm a little stumped and needed some help, so:

My graphics card is an EVGA GTX 1060 3GB, and features 1 HDMI and 3 display ports, and the monitors I plan on buying has 1 HDMI port, so, the HDMI I already have is going into one of the monitors, but that leaves me with 3 Display-ports. So, i'm gonna get a display port to HDMI cord for my second monitor. THEN, I'm looking into it more and some say adapters are better but then you need another cord and blah blah. So I'm just wondering if I'd be fine with getting a display port to HDMI cord, and plugging it into the second monitor. Thanks.

Should work fine. You really only run into problems when using 3 displays, and then it's only when trying to use HDMI + 2 DVI outputs. In that case you need an active adapter. You shouldn't have any issues using a displayport to HDMI adapter along with one other native HDMI output.

You will however lose some of the bandwidth native to displayport by reducing to HDMI.
