I'll soon have two pcs and one monitor. My HP monitor has two hdmi inputs and one vga input. I'd prefer to use the hdmi port(s). The video cards in both computers have hdmi outs and the HD 7870 has one dvi-i port and the RX 580 has one dvi-d port. I won't have both computers on at the same time.

Can you please recommend an inexpensive switch, preferably HDMI, that includes usb mouse, usb keyboard and audio inputs?

Without making this too complicated, can I use 2 hdmi cables from each computer to the monitor's 2 hdmi inputs then incorporate a switch to handle, mouse, keyboard, and audio?

This KVM switch looks pretty good:

You could probably connect the monitor to both computers via the 2 HDMI, however, you will need to continuously change from 1 HDMI input to the other. In my experience, the buttons on the monitor don't fare well with heavy use. But there is always a chance it could just detect which input is live and automatically switch to it. You'd have to try it to see if it does.
