High, almost completely upgrading my PC. Pretty much everything except my SSD and HDD.

What is the best way of reinstalling windows? Will it work if I just boot it up? How can I keep my Windows activation?

I have no idea where to start the process so anyone that has been in this situation (I feel like this should be pretty common) please provide any steps to follow.

Solution
#1 - Tie a Microsoft account to the copy of Windows 10 on the current computer - https://www.windowscentral.com/how-re-activate-windows-10-after-hardware-change
#2 - Install Windows however you do it
#3 - Windows should automatically activate when you enter the Microsoft account from step 1

-------------------------------

This is a generic template. However, I hope you did #1 before you swapped everything, because it makes reactivation so much easier. If not, you may have to contact Microsoft to get them to activate your Windows if you explain your situation.
