I'm about to have my CPU and Motherboard replaced and i wonder do i have to reinstall Windows?
My old cpu, mobo is a G3258 and a Asrock H81
My new cpu, mobo is a i3 4150 and a Asus H81
You need to install your windows again as you have processor here.
The fresh installtion will help running PC better.
Although windows can boot from the old one installed. You can experiment it yourself.
Don't change the motherboard and there will be no need to reinstall.
If you make sata controller settings and boot mode settings on new board the same as on old one, then also reinstall can be avoided.
You'll have to reinstall chipset drivers though.
