You might have issues down the road, and you'll always wonder if running off the old installation was the problem.
Although I've done it myself and had no problems. But not on a machine I depend on.
I've seen all 3 cases.
My wifes system right now is at the level of "it works, but you see lingering issues later."
Win 10 Pro on a 250GB SSD, with a minimal software stack should NOT take 2-3 minutes to boot up.
Changing from a Pentium G840 to an i3-8100.
My main system last year was "Nope, not gonna boot up, no way, no how."
Changing from a Z77/i5-3570k to a Z97/i7-4790k.
