HDMI to DVI-I?

So my GPU has only 1 HDMI port, but my two monitors can only use HDMI. I bought an adapter for cheap (probably was not a good idea) and long story short, it works but there are blinking red dots on black things.

I'm about to buy another one, and I want to know if
1. it's possible at all
2. which one is the best one

my gpu has DVI-I and display port
the monitor is only 1920x1080 and 60hz
