Hi, a friend of mine recently built a new system and he purchased 2 display to go along with his 1080Ti.
The problem is that both display have different refresh rate. He bought a 144hz display for Gaming and another 60hz IPS panel for content consumption so when he's gaming on 144hz display and has, say anything open on the 60hz panel which updates some info on the screen leading to a screen refresh like a notification popup in Facebook etc. In such case, the FPS on 144hz also drops to 60 monumentality. He plans streaming on Twitch and wanted to use that 60hz display for chat monitoring but every time a new message popups up, it drops the framerate on the main 144hz display as well.
Can anyone please help fix this issue? The 144hz panel is hooked to the GPU using Display Port while 60hz panel is using HDMI.
