the other day i was considering the amount of spying microsoft et al is doing to us pc people. kinda made me indignant. so i went through chrome and win10 and turned off a bunch of stuff that i thought i didnt need.

i used to use firefox for my browsing but found out it was slowing down and using a high amount of cpu. tbh i only used firefox for its facebook hacks thats not available elsewhere.

anyways, on this website now i cant access my account or login anymore. im using FF now.

what did i turn off/reset in chrome that tomshrdware.com needs?
also can i revert back to the old webpage front? i hate the new one.

Where in chrome did you turn things off?

Did you use the chrome flags menu or just settings?

what happens when you try to login to toms in Chrome? Any errors or nothing at all?

can you recall what you changed in settings? was it under privacy & security?

i get http error 500....thats a server side error.iirc.

i deleted browser history

fixed it. at the bottom of 'advanced' in settings it says 'reset'. i clicked that, restarted and the login works now
