So I got a 500GB SSD. I currently have a 2 terabyte hard drive that is nearly full and I was wondering if I could transfer over ONLY my Widows 10 OS. I am brand new to this and have never installed another drive into my computer so please guide me step by step if you can.

Can't be done.

Your options are:
1. Clone the drive in it's entirety - near full 2TB drive to 500GB can't be done*.
2. Clean install the OS to the SSD and use the 2TB as secondary "bulk" storage.

*If you have an external drive, you could move/backup enough data the the "2TB" drive is using <500GB, and then clone..... but that's definitely more hassle than it's worth.

It's always beneficial to clean install your OS on a new drive, SSD or otherwise.
