can i update to windows 10?

Hello
recently i decided to update to windows 10
i have windows 7 and i need to format cause i have many issues
my friends told me i need to isntall windows 10
cause windows 7 is to old and no longer supported
but i dont know if my machine can run windows 10 with no problems
i ask a friend and he told me my gpu nvidia GeForce GTX 760
is so weak and will have problems with windows 10
so can i upgrade to windows 10 or should i stay on windows 7 ?
