(Did not have a graphics card, so I used the computers integrated graphics when I did not have a gpu.)

I installed my new graphics card the Zotac geforce 1060 6gb AMP Edition I installed it then booted it up and i plugged my Male HDMI To female VGA adapter then a VGA cable to the female and plugged that into my monitor. All the fans were moving and the LEDS of my PC turned on. But when I turned on my monitor it said No signal and stayed black. I took out the card and booted it up and it booted up normally. i've tried plugging the HDMI to vga adapter to my graphics card so the hdmi was plugged into my gpu and bga to monitor but it still didnt show display. I tried to only use HDMI port on motherboard to a HDMI tv but showed no display.

I do not know what I did wrong, I need help! ( I am new to this PC Stuff)
