HP Elitebook 8560p screen replacement blurry

My dads dog knocked his laptop over and smashed the screen, I ordered a replacement screen off eBay and fitted it but the screen is kinda blurry I’ve rechecked the plug and it seems to be seated correctly. Anybody know what the problem could be?

reseat the video cable both on the screen & on the motherboard. see if does same on external monitor which hopefully it does not.

It’s fine on external display, I’ll reseat the cable later and see if that helps
