Advice on new build?

Been having some issues for a while with my desktop pc not booting intermittently and while trying to fix the issue I have basically damaged my old fx8350 CPU beyond repair.

So my plan is to get a new motherboard and CPU and combine it with my old PC components.

My initial research has left me pretty confused as I've only ever added some upgrades, never build a pc from scratch.

I was thinking of using this bundle as a start

https://www.scan.co.uk/products/amd-ryzen-7-1700-unlocked-8-core-cpu-plus-asus-prime-b350-plus-atx-motherboard-bundle

Ryzen 7 1700 & Asus prime b350+.

I need a new 1 or 2 tb HDD also.

I would be combining them with the old components below.

Corsair CX750M PSU
Asus RX 480 8gb GPU
8gb stock of Fury HyperX RAM.
Samsung 850 evo 250gb SSD
OCZ Arc 100 240gb SSD

Can anyone see any problems I might run into with this plan and is that combination of hardware gonna produce a good machine?

Assuming I can put it all together correctly should it boot up with all my files and programs intact, widows is on one of my SSD drives?

Any tips or kits I should get to help with the build?

1. what ram speed is your fury?
2. What is your major usage? If gaming, 1700 is not bringing any value compared to 1600
3. clean install is recommended, back up important files. You may get away with not reinstall but many reported all kinds of issues with that route.

Thanks Vapour.

I'm pretty sure the RAM speed is 1600, if I remember right it was the highest my old motherboard would run.

My usage is a mixture of gaming and work, some photo editing is involved.

Unfortunately I don't have much backed up, I would be hoping to get my old drive booted up at least until i could salvage some files, then I could do a fresh install.

Was hoping to not go over £500 for the CPU, Motherboard, HDD and RAM.

What RAM would you advise?
