Hello all,
I am looking to build a P.C. in July of 2018. Price is not an issue up to $10,000 (I would prefer not to throw money away; however, I would like to be able to future scale and max out the performance). The primary purpose of this PC will be gaming, but from the standpoint of go big or go home. I want to stress that this is not a hypothetical or a troll post. I whole-heartedly intend on purchasing and completing this build. I definitely will take into account and appreciate any and all advice from overclocking to component placement to software. The following is what I have so far:
Case:
Thermaltake Tower 900 Black Edition Tempered Glass Fully Modular E-ATX Vertical Super Tower Computer Chassis CA-1H1-00F1WN-00

Motherboard:
MSI Z370 GODLIKE GAMING LGA 1151 (300 Series) Intel Z370 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard

Processor:
i7 8700k

Graphics Cards
GEFORCE GTX 1080 Ti (x3)

Soundcard:
Creative Sound Blaster ZxR PCIe Audiophile Grade Gaming Sound Card

RAM:
G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 4133 (PC4 33000) Intel Z270 / Z370 / X299 Desktop Memory Model F4-4133C19D-16GTZR (x2)

The motherboard has the following specifications (incase you did not want to look it up):
1151 i7, Chipset:Z370, DDR4 memory 2133MHz – 4133, Memory channel Dual, 4 DIMM slots 64gigs max, 4x PCI-EX16, PCI-E Gen Gen3, PCI-EX1 x1, SATAIII x6, M.2 Slot x3, U.2 x1, RAID 0/1/5/10, TPM HEADER 1, LAN 10/100/1000*1, USB 3.1 (FRONT) 1 type c/ 4 type A, USB 3.1 (Back) 1 type C/ 1 Type A Gen 2/ 6 gen1 type A, USB 2.0 ports 6, Audio: Dual Realtek ALC1220 Codec, DirectX12, Form factor E-ATX, SLI and crossfire

I would like to incorporate SSDs and basically cap out the system. Everything is subject to change and I will be updating any components that may have improved in the 9 months until the build. I look forward to the communities comments and ideas! (sky is the limit on this one, how would you build it) I will also post pictures of the build process and completed product!
Respectfully,
Jess

Hello all,

Budge414- Thank you! I'll check it out once I have time in the next day or so!
Rdg1101 and Major_Trouble- I understand it's far out, however it does let me know a few different perspectives with current technology. I definitely want to feel it out quite a bit before putting this much into the build. I also get to filter through a few dream builds, which is fun in its own right. I am currently in a sandbox, so I have quite a bit of time on my hands to sift through hardware and I've already learned quite a bit! How would you two build it if you could?
J_E_D_70- Thanks! I will definitely check out the components!

Be careful with your pcie lanes as z370 has a maximum of 24. It won't mix well if you use as many pcie based SSDs as that board can handle and 3x 1080ti.
