windows spotlight links don't work

Hi,
The spotlight images includes some text that actually are (were ) links to some more info and pictures about the specific location.
When clicking them, and after unlocking the screen, the clicked link was opened in Microsoft Edge.

Suddenly it stopped working.
The spotlight itself work, but only the links are not.
Not sure, but I think it happened after i have changed the default browser (FireFox -> Opera), although the links were always opened with Edge rather than with the default browser.
Don't really see the relation here...just saying.

I tried to fix the spotlight with this article, but it didnt help.

Please advise

I was wondering if you tried switching the default browser back to Firefox?

Also, would you mind trying to Run the SFC /SCANNOW Command or Restore Windows to an Earlier Restore Point if SFC doesn't help?

Please report back if further assistance is needed.

i have tried to change the default browser(s). I actually not 100% sure that this is when the problem started...
Also tried SFC, and dism as explained in the article.

I do not have restore point, after I have installed windows ver. 1709,few days ago.
I thought maybe this feature was deprecated by Microsoft. Maybe this is the reason.
