My daughter is starting to get more into gaming and really needs her own PC the question I have is whether I try and flesh out the parts I have and give her that or should I just bit the bullet and buy a new system. I'm trying to keep budget below a Aussie $1,000.

Parts available from my past systems:
Motherboard: Asus P8P67
CPU: I5 2500k
GPU: GTX 770
DDR3: 12 GB (corsair 2x4 + 2x2)
SSD: 64gb
SATA: 320gb

If I use the above I'll still need to purchase:
Power supply
New Case

The question is should I try and build something from the above mixed bag assuming getting a decent psu and case would cost me about $300. Or should I ditch the above and go buy a new system with a i3 and 1050 gpu.

any advice opinions greatly appreciated.
