Hmm... the Connect D1 I/O shell looks like what's already on Define R6. Maybe it's meant for other lines?

Also, it only says USB 3.0 - not quite sure how that translates into a USB 3.1 Gen2 connection, unless you have a standalone USB 3.1 Gen2 header on your motherboard.

The Define R6 by default does not have the reversible USB Type-C port (between Power and Reset switch), but you are correct that the I/O shell is for the future Define R6 series cases.
