Hello guys. I am going to build a PC in the near future. Here are the specs that matter:
•i5 8400
•16GB RAM
•GTX 1160 (Volta architecture. It will surely be able to do 1440p gaming, it's gonna be like 1070ti performance)

I am looking for a good 1440p 144Hz G-Sync or 1080p 144Hz G-Sync monitor (in case I buy the GTX 1060 Pascal architecture). I will be mostly gaming and editing (not pro editing, just normal stuff, youtube vids etc...)
I do not know what size monitor should I buy. The estimated distance between my eyes and the monitor is 40 to 60 centimeters. My desk fits up to 27 inches so I am considering some 24 and some 27 inch monitors. Features such as 3D Vision are appreciated but I am not going to use it at the moment neither do I know if I am going to use it in the future. Right now I want just the best monitor I can buy so don't hesitate to recommend me a monitor without 3d over a monitor with 3d. Please recommend me 2 monitors, the best 1080p and the best 1440p out of them all. Here are some monitors I have been considering: (Price in (...€) is the actual price on my country so notice that. I don't really care much about price because all these monitors are on my budget)

1440p MONITORS:

•Dell S2417DG (505€)
•Dell S2716DG (540€)
•AOC Agon AG241GQ (545€)

1080p MONITORS:

•AOC Agon G2460GP (415€)
•Acer Predator XB1 XB241H (420€)
•Asus ROG Swift PG248Q (510€)
•Dell Alienware AW2518H (550€)

I know that the Alienware is pointless but I just wrote that monitor down too, just for the heck of it!

Alienware is Dell, and they pretty much follow ASUS and Acer when it comes to gaming monitors. They all use the same panels.

Once you hit 27" you really need 1440p to keep the pixel density up. 24" 1080p is considered pretty normal.

I would pick your monitor on stats, then see which monitor you can stand to look at appearance wise.

Dell S2716DG (G-Sync, 1440p, 27" TN, 1ms) would be my pick for a TN. Not sure why the ASUS PG278QR is holding its high price.
AOC AG271QG (G-sync, 1440p, 27" VA, 4ms) Better color, viewing angles. Risk of backlight bleed.

Asus ROG Swift PG248Q is a popular choice for high speed gamers right now. Not really sure if anything else stands out.

Can't speak for the other monitors, but I have the Dell S2417DG and I absolutely love it. I prefer 24" monitors over 27" as I play competitive FPS games, and more screen size just means more real estate to cover when scanning with your eyes.
