I have had my Alienware 13 R3 with OLED for less than a month, and just noticed today some pretty serious burn in has somehow already happened. I don't know how, though, as I use an all black background, and have the monitor set to turn off after 3 minutes of inactivity. Here is a photo of the burn in:

Is there anything I can do? Can I return it? I paid a lot of money for this, so I want everything to be working the way that it should be.

Solution
If the burn pattern doesn't resemble anything you put on the screen on a regular basis, that definitely sounds like a manufacturing defect.

If I had an OLED connected to my PC, I'd expect burn-in mainly at UI edges.

I made sure not to have anything like that, and I have Windows all set to dark mode. I heard about potential burn in on OLEDs before purchasing, so I made sure to take precaution. I’ll probablt just have to contact Dell in that case to repair/return it. Thanks for the reply!

That’s what I expected too, but I even have the taskbar set to auto hide so as to avoid this. Maybe Dell can just replace the screen?
