New pc build thoughts

Hi everyone,
Im new to the forum. This is my first build, and Im trying to put a parts list together for a home office build that will eventually be used for light gaming later. Im most interested in getting parts that will be stable, reliable, and compatible. If anything has a bad reputation or incompatible please let me know open to suggestions as well and a budget around $450. Here is what I have so far.

CPU- AMD A8-9600 Bristol Ridge AM4 Quad Core 3.1Ghz

Motherboard- Asus Prime B350M-E

(also looking at the Asrock AB350M Pro4 AM4 Promontory) link

Ram- Patriot viper elite 8GB (2x4GB) 2400

Power Supply- SeaSonic S12II 520 bronze 520W

Case- Corsair Carbide series 200R

Network Card- Asus AC750 wireless dual band pci express

Hard drive- toshiba 500GB

will eventually add a radeon rx 470 gpu later down the road. Im really nervous about it being my first build, and have read horror stories about faulty psu's and motherboards let me know what you guys think. Thanks

Everything is a good brand, so good job, you didn’t make my rookie mistake (having a crap brand for a psu, what should have been the most important part). In terms of compatibility, it looks ok according to Pc part picker. If you are not moving your Pc, and a port is available on the router, use Ethernet rather than a wireless adapter. Faster and cheaper. Your psu may have a bit too much wattage put to waste, so maybe try a 450w instead if you want some upgrade abilities, but not putting more on electricity bills.

That is similar to my build (exact cpu and gpu models) and it runs basic games fine (fake version of Cs:go (black squad), robocraft, etc)

This will game much better than the AMD apu from op.

I understand that a dedicated gpu will game better than an apu, but im not planning on gaming with it until i can afford to put a put a decent gpu in it. The parts list above doesnt include Windows 10 an extra 100 bucks on average. Im just looking for a solid home office build that will be good base to build around down the road.

Getting a build under 500 w/ os is a challenge, but here is a build with one and an odd and a better cpu. Lots of mail in rebates though (you know, due to budget)

All really great options guys thanks. 500 is ok, little more than I want but its fine. I would love to go with Ryzen but I thought Ryzen doesnt have integrated graphics on the chip? Is it possible to get video output with Ryzen without a dedicated gpu? I was thinking about upgrading the A-series chip to a Ryzen when I can afford a Geforce gtx 1060 or a Radeon rx 470. It should work with any AM4 motherboard right?

Motherboards for intel 8000 series are super expensive at the moment. G4560/G4600 is probably your best bet.

Creating a USB windows thumb drive isn't hard or expensive, u just won't have a product key #.
However if you are set on getting a full copy, which i agree with btw, here's a good integrated graphics build.

Your aware you can download/install/use Windows 10 for free right? It has limited customizing however you still get all the necessary updates. Then buy the license when you have the extra cash.

This built won't work so well, Ryzen 3/5/7 doesn't have a iGPU so no display without a dedicated card.

Alright, I really like this build above, I dont need an optical drive so ill have to swap that out for a wifi card or dongle because ethernet cable is not an option for me. As far as window 10 is concerned I heard you could do that but wasnt sure about how long you could use it like that for. I also need to be able to log in to my microsoft account will that be affected?

You will have complete access to windows 10 and can use your MS account. Reason being, Microsoft gives out one copy and another backup copy for all windows customers (stated in license agreement). You may not be able to customize the interface too much, but WiFi and all are included. Just be sure to have a decent sized usb (8+ Gb recommended). Lasts as long as needed. You can always get a key or a brand new full copy w/ key later
