Windows 10 on to Hard drive via external disc drive

I have attempted to look up how to install windows 10 on my new pc that I just built but I can't find anything like my situation.

First of all, every tutorial wants to load windows onto an SSD which I do not have. I only have a hard drive.

Secondly, I have an external DVD drive that I planned on using to install windows 10. The DVD drive connects via USB (I don't have an official Disk Drive). I have no idea how I would go about installing it using this method.


So how would I go about installing windows 10 onto my hard drive if this is at all possible using this method?

1. Installing on your HDD is no different than installing on an SSD. It's just a different type of drive.

2. Yes, you can install from an external DVD drive.
