Trying to connect Ps4 to tv without hdmi

Okay guys so I’m trying to connect my ps4 to my somewhat old sharp tv it is hdmi compatible however the hdmi port is messed up. So I’m trying to use this dvi-I to hdmi setup but I have a dvi-d to hdmi cable. Should it work? Because when I hard reset the Ps4 I get a loading display till the console restarts itself then it goes back to saying signal is not compatible with this input. Anyway I can get it to work without having to purchase something else?

Solved it by lowering resolution.
