I have heard about this thing system32 and heard it was some kind of virus. I've apparently deleted it. But I've now read its just trolling? what is true and what is fake?

You're joking, right? Please tell us you're just kidding.

If not, then you're posting this from a different PC?

My buddy came over and we were live on twitch on the new laptop he got for xmas, and there was some glitch with the webcam, and some guy called TwitchHelpLive said in order to fix the stuttering of the webcam we should delete it.

Yes or no question...
Have you actually already deleted that folder?

Just yes or no, please.

I'm not totally sure. He told us to type in CMD to the start menu and this white text on black came up. He told us to put in what he called "the directory" of where this system32 was and put a word "del" in. It said something like are you sure you want to delete system32. i pressed Y, and there are currently these white lines of text going down the screen (the CMD thingy.) (i'm writing this on my ipad)

:pfff:
Well, guess what...that laptop now needs a whole new OS install. There is no way to "fix" what you've done.

The /system32/ folder is an integral part of the actual OS. You have been massively trolled.

OS? How do we get a new install? Oh man i can't believe it.......can i report him?

Your system32 folder contains the most important elements of the Windows operating system.
That jerk just Removed your computer. You have a right to be pissed off! :fou:

You'll need to re-install windows and next time you have an issue ask the nice techs here at Toms.

you may ask a new installation from your vendor, or if not, buy a new windows installation CD

how much is it as the laptop doesn't have a DVD drive. Argh I can't believe it. I know i'm not the brightest person when it comes to PC stuff as I'm only like 14 years old and I've only ever played games on xbox but man!

ask some of your friend to create a boot media installation from USB,

An acer laptop should have a bootable recovery partition with the win 10 install files on it.

Power it down fully by holding power for 10 seconds .

Then power up while holding the ALT button left of spacebar while continually jabbing the F10 key.

You should get recovery, reinstall, factory reset options

EDIT :- Thought id read acer aspire v5 somewhere - must be getting threads mixed up.

That said all laptops with preinstalled windows have recovery partitions , what laptop is it ??
