Best gaming monitor for the future?

I currently have a 27' 1440k 60hz monitor hooked up to my 1080 build PC and wouldn't mind an upgrade.

I've been holding out for these fabled 4k 144hz behemoths promised almost a year ago, but can't find any information on a possible release date. NOW I read that these monitors will only have one size, 27 inches.

I want a 32' screen and don't care much for ultra wide. That being said, should i....

1) wait for the 4k 144hz
2) get another 1440k monitor but at 144hz with g-synce
3) get a 4k screen and stay at 60hz

NOTE: I have never tried a 144hz monitor so I wouldn't know what I was missing lol
