So I Just got a new pc case for my computer and when I put everything in from my old one, Note: I have not gotten any new parts, only new case. And for some reason my ethernet port is not reading that a cable is connected. My friends says its the drivers but ive tried reinstalling them. Maybe I used wrong drivers? I don't know. Im not a pro at computers.

Solution
First guess would be the I/O shield. There are small fingers that are supposed to touch the OUTSIDE of the ethernet port on the motherboard. If one of those bent and is inside the ethernet port that could be your problem.
