Hello, I am planning on updating/building a new PC in these coming months.

The build currently looks like this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9WNPbj

AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor
Gigabyte - GA-AB350-GAMING 3 ATX AM4 Motherboard ------(bundled mobo/CPU: $219.98)
Corsair - Vengeance LPX 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ----------------------------$89.99
Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive--------------------$46.89
EVGA - GeForce GTX 1070 8GB SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition Video Card-----$454.89
Corsair - 200R ATX Mid Tower Case-------------------------------------------------------------$34.99
Corsair - TXM Gold 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply--------$49.99
Acer - R240HY bidx 23.8" 1920x1080 60Hz Monitor------------------------------------------$129.99
Total:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------$1,026.72

The bundle is found on Microcenter, and I'm not sure what the difference is between the GA-AB350-GAMING 3 ATX AM4 and GA-AB350-GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboards beyond the $10 difference and lack of a '3' in one of the product's name. I have no real plans on overclocking or anything fancy; just would like to be able to play games like Dishonored 2 at (near) max settings at 1080.

I currently have a 512 GB Mushkin Reactor SSD, an optical drive, a couple 500 GB HDDs, a mouse/keyboard/speakers, and a copy of Windows 10 which should be able to work on a new system.

Any compatibility issues/suggestions? My budget isn't hard set, but I'd like to keep it as close to $1,000 as possible nonetheless.

It will raze your price some but go with 3000 to 3200mhz ram. Ryzen chips do better with higher clocked ram. Also with a 1070 I would recommend a high refresh rate monitor. There really isn't any difference between the two motherboards so save yourself $10 and go with the cheaper one.

1070 is overkill for 1080p 60hz...
ram too slow and you will want faster dual channel(2 sticks in a pack), 16 gb is recommended for new builds
For 1000, I will get this:

Thanks for the replies. I'm seeing a sale for Team T-Force Dark RAM going for ~$169.99 but apparently there are some questions about it's compatibility with certain motherboards? Will it work with what I'm selected and is this product any good?

Also, any experience with Acer ED242QR? I notice it uses Freesync so are there going to be issues/drawbacks with a GTX 1070?
