144hz and DVI problems

i just got the Asus VG248QE and I connected the monitor to my HP Omen 15t laptop and it didn't show the option for 144hz I was also having a problem when i have the dvi cable by itself it would have these weird green pixels pop up randomly and when i have hdmi and dvi in my dock at the same time and I switch the source to dvi it says no signal and sometimes the same thing with hdmi

The HDMI port on that monitor only supports 1080p@60hz. What dock are you using?
