To clean disk

hello Sir,
My name is Tej and I'm from India. I got an Smart Hard Disk error 301 .
I followed the youtube videos suggesting a fix to this . Below is the detail as to what i have done till now! Could u kindly help me out please!
1)Made a bootable windows 10 USB for 64-bit.
[because when i went to boot manager ,it was showing no boot device found. i even enabled legacy support . Didn't work!]
2)Connected USB , started the setup installation, and i had 7 drive 0 partitions , in that one was system and 3 were primary. tried formatting the primary ones but received error of formatting is not possible.
[basically none of the primary drives accepted the formatting and installing]
3) Opened the CMD, diskpart>list disk> select disk 0 (my primary disk) > clean

it should have cleaned successfully . but i got the following error message:
Diskpart has encountered an error: the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.
please help . Im stuck at this point.

SMART errors are the hdd warning you, best idea is to buy a new hdd and start again. MOst searches for that error number end in replacing hdd

Thank you so much! But I could access my HDD through system assist like look around for certain files ! And it hasn't been even 3yrs!

you might be able to boot from a linux live usb and rescue any files that way. I assumed since you tried to run clear on the drive that you were not concerned about anything on drive now.

I had 3 drives die in 2 years, it can be caused by power surges or bad power supplies in general. Or just bad drives. You could look up warranty info on HDD and see if you are covered.
