Hey yall, I have been using a build I have had for over a year now and just recently while I was playing Counter Strike Global Offensive I started to get terrible choppy lag which made me restart my PC, when I turned it back on I didn't know what was making it lag so hard and be very slow so I took a look in task manager and it said 100% disk usage. Counter strike Global Offensive is literally the only thing I use this PC for and I would get 300+ frames per second but now I get barely 100fps. I have tried many solution videos and disabling of this and that but nothing has worked. I have a AMD 8350 With a GTX 960 with 8GB of Kingston ram and Western digital hard drive. Please help!

What has changed?
Perhaps windows 10 has installed a less than optimal driver update.
Try using system restore to reset back to a time when all was well.

I really doubt your hard drive is the issue.
But, to be certain, go to WD and download their hard drive diagnostic app. I think it is called data lifeguard.

Another more likely cause is thermal throttling.
Perhaps your cpu cooler has come loose.
Under load, what is your cpu temperature?
If the cooler is mounted well, it should show 10-15c. over ambient at idle.
