Hdmi to Dp adapter not working

I have got a samsung c7f591fdu monitor. I am trying to connect my pc via display port/ hdmi adapter and it not working. Hdmi cable connect to pc and the dp adapter connecting to the monitor

Most likely you are not using an HDMI to DisplayPort adapter but instead a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, which is only for connecting a DisplayPort computer to an HDMI display. They don't work in both directions.
