Hello ,
I am building a mining rig which is going to have an 7200 RPM HDD , so I was wondering will I have any problems if I don't activate windows and just install them from the Microsoft tool ? They are going to say ( down right ) that they need activation but can I run any program for ever ? Will that affect my mining setup ?

If this is just for a mining rig you'd be better off using a Linux distro. Windows will run but I can't guarantee it won't interrupt your mining program since its not activated.

No, you do not need a server OS.

That's a whole different thing.
You're going to have to delve into Ubuntu, or whatever Linux variant you choose, and learn how to configure this.

I imagine it will not be just "Click Click Done".

If you just want plug and go then ya Windows. You'll just have to keep on top of it to make sure its still running.

It is going to work for 2-3 days (in order to see if everything works fine) and after that we are going to install Solar Panels .

UPS - Uninterruptable Power Supply.
Basically, a big battery pack for if your power goes out or bleeps.

Have you sized your solar array (and all of its accessories...batteries) to take into account the power usage of this mining thing? It will not be trivial.
