Windows 10 Re-install FAILS each time

going to re-install windows 10 on my gaming pc, My goal is to wipe the hard drives clean and start fresh, i pop the old trusty install disc in the drive, follow the menus to reinstall it and everytime about 35% it fails and just says that it cannot be done , its driving me nuts, do i have to format my storage drive first , then reinstall everything on my ssd? pretty aggravating to deal with , but i knew it wasnt gonna be as simple as click and go Just my luck . what kind of errors exactly are you encountering on your install attempts/headaches?

There may be some administrative rights on the drive that are preventing it from being erased and replaced. Try using DBAN found here: https://dban.org

Download that to a disk/usb drive and boot from it. Select your hard drive and wipe it clean. Then, boot from the Windows 10 ISO you have and install Windows to that freshly wiped drive.

All im getting is a small box that pops up says
SOMETHING HAPPENED
windows 10 installation has failed
