I'm not a tech person

You would go to a site offering a torrent client, such as uTorrent, Deluge, Vuze, Bittorrent, or others.
You would then go to their downloads page (make sure you're careful about where you're getting the installers) and download the installer of your choice
You would then install the client by double-clicking the download and following the prompts.

DISCLAIMER
You mentioned you're not very tech savvy, so just to address a common use of Torrenting you may not be aware is illegal or prohibited where you live:
Be advised however that torrenting copyrighted materials is ILLEGAL in most jurisdictions both in the US and through much of the West, at minimum. Particularly in countries like the United States, you can face SEVERE financial sanction for even trivial amounts of infringement.

Other penalties may include getting your internet access terminated, along with a major increased chance for malware (which if you're not a tech person you would certainly want to avoid). In areas with only one provider, this can be problematic! You won't get a second chance!

Please be aware that Tomshardware forbids counseling on how to obtain these materials or infringe. It carries weighty penalties, so if that's what you're trying for, be aware that there is a solid chance of getting caught and if so, a very nasty potential outcome. Lawsuits in the millions for even a few songs are not unheard of.

If it's for legitimate use, then just follow the instructions at the top, if it isn't, then shame on you.
