Laptop compatability w/ 240 hz monitor

Currently, a ROG Zephyrus (https://www.amazon.com/Zephyrus-Full-HD-Ultra-portable-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B0731JXL49/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1515807945&sr=8-2&keywords=zephyrus) is being shipped to me.

Since the laptop has a Thunderbolt 3.0 Type-C input, can I use a USB-C to DisplayPort converter to achieve 240hz on the monitor with this laptop?
