Will I Be Able to Reinstall

I am needing to upgrade to Windows 10 in order to hopefully mitigate some of the performance losses from the Meltdown/Spectre patches. If I buy a non-OEM license (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/windows-10-home-windows/6121415.p?skuId=6121415) will I be able to reinstall on new hardware when I rebuild my system a year or two from now, including if I switch from Intel to AMD ? Thanks in advance.

I'm not too sure but I've reinstalled my OS more than once on the same one.

You should be able to. I've never had a problem doing it, but some folks have had to call a Microsoft 800 no. to promise them that they've removed it from the old system.

That license is good for whatever you build you put together. Windows 10 is rather forgiving when moving to new hardware in the future. I moved from AMD to Intel and was able to keep my Windows license. I had to work with Microsoft to get it reactivated but that took 5 minutes. If you decided to change from Intel to AMD just know that you’ll have to do a fresh install of Windows.
