dual monitor with hdmi splitter

I want to do a dual monitor setup with my old tv as a second monitor . My gpu is gtx msi 1050ti and it has dvi ,displayport and only one hdmi . I can do it through the hdmi and the dvi ports of the gpu but I was wondering if I would be able to use an hdmi adapter and have audio on my tv.

You can daisy chain via DP not via HDMI.

You'd have Audio on the TV, yes. But an HDMI splitter is only going to be capable of mirroring the image on your TV, not providing secondary display functionality.

Run an HDMI cable from your TV to your GPU, then run a DVI cable from your monitor to your GPU.

Matrox's DualHead-To-Go might be an option.

The simplest and cheapest option though would be to use a DVI-to-HDMI or DP-to-HDMI adapter for one of the GPU's other ports. (Assuming your monitor only has HDMI for digital input. Otherwise, use whatever other standard your display supports.)
